On May 31,1996,
 Aya knocked out ISKA World Champion, Sabine Ritter
in the first round to capture the WMTA  World Jr 
Bantam Weight Title.

Epilogue:  womenkickboxing.com regrets to report that Aya's career was tragically 
ended by a fall from a four story building that left her physically unable to ever fight again.
Aya  made an enormous contribution to Women's Muay Thai which will never be forgotten by her fans, and colleagues. 
She will be missed. We wish her the best.
