* Team USA placed 2nd Place for Female Team
* Team Captain, Lynda Loyce was awarded a trophy for Best Wai Kru, the
onlyone out of 700+ athletes
* Alisane Casey for Bronze at 51 kg Female Division
* Jennifer Nguyen for Silver Medal at 54 kg Female Division
* Lynda Loyce for Gold Medal at 57 kg Female Division
* Evan Esquerra for Bronze at 67 kg Class B Division
* Mark Beecher for Bronze at 71 kg Class B Division
* Chris Romulo for Bronze at 75 kg Class B Division


I like to personally thank everyone in supporting the team and for
makingthis event a BIG success.  There were 70 country teams with over 700+
athletes participated in the event for Men's Class A and B Division, Female
Division and Junior Division.  Team USA had 15 athletes from 12 different
gyms throughout the USA.  13 out of 15 athletes competed.  Kwame
and Aileen Miller unfortunately were advised by doctors to withdraw from
competition due dehydration, but stayed to support the team.

It was a great opportunity for Team USA athletes to experience international
level competition and to enhance their skills.  More importantly, it was an
adventure they experienced as a team, supporting each other throughout the
tournament. Through this unique experience they were able to make riendsfor life.

After the event, Dr. Sachai, President of IFMA, came to congratulate Team
USA and I for representing the "United Spirit of America".  Dr. Sachai was
very happy that for the first time under USMF's leadership, we were able to
send a full contingent of American athletes to participate in the World Cup
and more importantly to support the growth of MuayThai in USA.

Everyone gave their best at the tournament and fought very well.  The US
athletes will have another opportunity next year at the WMC-IFMA World Cup
2005 to be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
